I am just wondering where it has been stated that the political figure in the picture is Catholic, when none in his family has ostentatiously mentioned anything about faith. It would be good to know. That said, the comic strips are quite accurate depictions of the views of some Singaporeans who have been indoctrinated, regardless of religion, to think that people who are poor are poor because they are lazy, entitled and do not work hard. Self-righteousness at its best, especially when dealt out by a person who calls himself a Christian, when Christ was every bit on the side of the poor and downtrodden and chose voluntary poverty himself.
